  2. charlie says:

I did not get a key facts sheet did we get it on the first week back?

  3. charlie says:

I struggled on Mathletics on ratio, fractions, percents and decimals.

    • 6ra says:

We will definitely cover this during boosters. Once you ‘get it’-you’ll understand all three well. In the mean time, have a good read of the ‘key facts’ sheet that you took home last week.
      Mr. Annia

  4. charlie says:

I was looking at my spellings this morning for practising until I realised that they were the wrong spelling because they are ones we have already done, these are the ones that were on my chair on Wednesday.

Unless they are ones we have already done?

    • 6AM says:

      Hi Charlie,

It is possible that someone has placed the wrong spellings on your chair. Please do not worry about this. Bring your sheet in tomorrow and we will sort this out.

      Miss M.

  7. Ascend says:

Mr Annia, I have a problem with my computer. The problem is that my laptop is working weirdly. I can’t go to the library because my version of office is 2013. With that, my homework would be 3/4 done if i ignored that. Please help me!

  8. Meghan says:

I’m stuck with Body Smart I can’t think of any games to invent and don’t want to create a dance or act. I don’t have anything that is world war 2 related and don’t want to borrow any thing in-case I lose it.

  13. William says:

  14. Harriet says:

    Maths and logic smart.
Task: Imagine you are an evacuee and you were only allowed to take 5 precious belongings with you. What would you take and why? (Reasoning skills).

1)A picture of my family because I will miss them and so I know they are watching over me.

2)Some food a drink to keep me hydrated and so that my tummy stays full because I don’t want a short life.

3)A gas mask so I can breathe because I don’t really want to die at a young age.

    4) I would take a book because I am lost without a book and I absolutely love reading.

    5) I would also take a picture of my friends because I want to remember my friends because they are special.

    From Harriet.

    • 6AM says:

Brilliant Harriet. I would definitely take those things that you have mentioned too.
      Great work.
Perhaps you could gather all the things you would take together and take a photograph of them? This would look really good on display when we have our Conflict presentation day.

    • Harriet says:

I will try and find the things and take a photograph.
      From Harriet.

Ayron : maths and logic smart
5 things I would take in my journey.
1)A picture of my family so I can remember them all the time.
2)Teddy bear so I won’t feel lonely in a bunch of strange children .
3)Gas mask so I can breath in good air instead of pollution.
4)Post cardS so I can write messages to my family.
5)Food and drinks so I will survive through the journey.

  24. Harriet says:

    Picture Smart
Make a WW2 recipe and take a picture.

    Honey cakes

    Ingredients:
    1 teaspoon of sugar
    2 ounces of margarine
    2 teaspoons of honey
    6 ounces of self-raising flour
    1 level teaspoon of cinnamon

    Method:
Beat the sugar and margarine unit it’s a soft cream consistency.
Sieve the flour and then the cinnamon and add to the mixture and then add honey.
Mix with a wooden spoon until it binds together, then knead with your fingers until you have a soft dough.
Break off a piece of the dough and roll it between your floured palms into a ball.
Place on to a lightly greased baking tray.
    Flatten slightly.
Repeat until you have used up all of the dough, when you should have about 16 honey cakes.
Bake in a moderately hot oven until the cakes are done -about 15 minutes.

When they came out of the oven my family tried them and although they smelt nice they were horrible. My Dad thought they were quite dry. I didn’t like them, they just tasted of dough. The rest of my family didn’t like them either.

Because they were on rashons they didn’t have a lot of sugar or butter so they tasted horrible.

    • 6ra says:

Well through this experience you have learned that being on rations may not have been much fun – what do you think?
      Mr. Annia

    • Nathan says:

    • Harriet says:

I don’t think you should Nathan. They were really horrible.

That bad Harriet? Oh dear. Like Mr. Annia said, it makes us realise how lucky we are to be able to go to the supermarket and buy what we want!

  25. Harriet says:

    Conflict homework
    Music smart
Task: to write a song as if you were an evacuee.

Sing to the tune of twinkle twinkle little star.

    I am an evacuee
I’ve come from a big city.
    Left behind my family
On the way to the country.

    I am feeling very sad
    Because I don’t know where I am.
    I am feeling excited too
Because I want to see the view!

I’ve now left the smoke and fog
Into the clearness of the day.
Breathing in the cool fresh air
Makes me want to stay here!

    • 6AM says:
